No, in line with the Tenant Fees Act 2019, we do not charge tenants administration or referencing fees.
A holding deposit is usually one week’s rent and reserves the property while your application is processed. It is refundable unless you withdraw, provide false information or fail a Right to Rent check.
Your deposit is protected in a government approved Tenancy Deposit Scheme (DPS or MyDeposits). You will get it back at the end of your tenancy unless deductions are made for damage, rent arrears or other breaches of contract.
Usually this takes 24 hours to 5 days depending on the speed at which you provide the required paperwork. Our lettings team will monitor progress and ensure the referencing checks are done as quickly as possible.
Once referencing is passed you will be expected to pay the balance of the 5 weeks deposit plus your first rent in advance.
